Two knife-wielding robbers wanted over Mong Kok Rolex heist

Police are now searching for two knife-wielding robbers who broke into an upstairs luxury wristwatch store in Mong Kok and grabbed at least seven Rolex watches and HK$200,000 in cash on Thursday afternoon.

The 50-square-feet store was located at President Commercial Center in Mong Kok and the robbery occurred about 6pm.

Apart from the Rolex watches, the two robbers also took away the shop owner's wallet and phone.

The owner, 45, was sent to hospital as he sustained injuries to his fingers and forehead when he resisted the robbers.

It was understood that the robbers, both dressed in plain black, entered the shop and claimed to be trying on the wristwatches. They then shut the door closed and brandished their knives and looted the place.

They also got the hard disk for the security camera before they fled the scene.

Officers from police's emergency unit soon came and initiated the manhunt in the area. Yet, no one has been arrested so far.
