Two arrested by national security police for possessing military knives and imitation firearm

The National Security Department of the Hong Kong Police Force arrested two men and seized military knives and an imitation firearm on Sunday.

Police conducted searches at the two arrested men's residences in Cheung Sha Wan and Chai Wan respectively with court warrants. Some electronic communication devices which were used to publish seditious messages, a computer, military knives, and an imitation firearm were seized.

The two arrested men, aged 31 and 53, were suspected of doing an act or acts with seditious intention, possession of an imitation firearm, possession of offensive weapon, and possession of apparatus for radiocommunications without licence.

The duo are being detained for further enquiries.
