TVB to broadcast National Games of China

TVB will be broadcasting the 14th National Games of China after signing a licensing agreement with China Media Group today.

The National Games of China will be held from September 15 to 27 in Shaanxi Province.

There are a total of 35 events in this year's tournament. Athletes from the city will participate in finals of 18 events, including archery, athletics, badminton, boxing, canoe (sprint), cycling (road race, track, mountain bike), equestrian (jumping), fencing, golf, gymnastics (rhythmic gymnastics), table tennis, taekwondo and tennis.

A one-hour daily event highlight will be broadcast on TVB Finance & Information Channel (Channel 85) from 9pm to 10pm every day during the Games period.

The Opening and Closing Ceremonies will be broadcast live on September 15 and 27 respectively.

Eric Tsang Chi-wai, Deputy General Manager of TVB signed a licensing agreement with Wang Tiegang, Deputy Chief of CMG AsiaPacific headquarters today.

“We are pleased to co-operate with CMG, enabling viewers in Hong Kong to watch this sports event,” Tsang said.
