Tropical Wave expected to create unstable weather later in week

As the lush mountainsides of the Virgin Islands have been transformed to a landscape of brown and cisterns beg for water, rain seems to be headed the Territory's way, albeit in the form of a tropical wave.

According to Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services, the tropical wave will move across the area Tuesday, May 26, 2020, into Wednesday, May 27, 2020, and at most a moderate chance of showers is anticipated mainly for the Leeward Islands.

The [British] Virgin Islands, on the other hand, will see an increase in shower activity Wednesday and Thursday, May 28, 2020, resulting from a surface trough moving in from the west.

For the rest of the period, high pressure will be the dominant weather feature with generally settled weather expected.
