Three more arrested over body-dragging murder in Yuen Long

Two men and a woman have been arrested for preventing the lawful burial of a body over the shocking murder in Yuen Long on Friday, where a man was spotted transporting his girlfriend’s body in broad daylight.

Sources said the three arrestees all lived in the same house as the alleged murderer surnamed Ng, 25, and the victim surnamed Yip, 30.

The incident was reported to police around 6am on Friday, as joggers on Tin Ha Road found Ng dragging a wheel board where Yip’s body, wrapped in a quilt and cling film, was placed with her legs protruding.

A police spokesperson said Yip’s head was wrapped with cling film, and her hands and legs were bound with nylon rope. Police arrested Ng for murder but have yet to press charges against him.

Around 9am on Saturday, workers were spotted disinfecting the area where the body was left. The apartment at Galore Garden on Tin Ha Road was suspected to be one of the crime scenes and was still cordoned off.

It was understood that Ng and Yip met at work and soon developed a romantic relationship.

The landlord, surnamed Ling and said Ng was a nice person but added that Ng once vented to him that he was being bullied and was treated as a “human ATM.”
