Tencent-controlled entity wins reinsurance license in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Insurance Authority has awarded a license to Chinese technology conglomerate Tencent Holdings Ltd.-controlled joint venture FuSure Reinsurance Company Ltd. to provide reinsurance services, Reinsurance News reported. The Hong Kong-domiciled reinsurer will be able to underwrite general reinsurance business in Hong Kong and globally.
