Target Removes LGBTQ+ Merchandise from Shelves After Receiving Threats to Employees Ahead of Pride Month

Target, a big box retailer, will remove some LGBTQ+ merchandise from its shelves after receiving threats to employees.

This decision comes ahead of Pride Month, which is celebrated in the US in June to commemorate the Stonewall Riots of 1969.

The store will move the Pride merchandise sections to the back of the store in certain locations, particularly in the American south.

The company did not specify which items would be removed.
