Starry Lee re-elected as chairwoman for DAB

Starry Lee Wai-king was re-elected as the chairwoman for Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB).

Five were elected as vice-chairmen, including Horace Cheung Kwok-kwan, Brave Chan Yung, Gary Chan Hak-kan, Holden Chow Ho-ding and Chan Hok-fung.

Lee said after the party’s election that she wished to obtain more seats in the Legislative Council for DAB.

Currently DAB has 13 seats in the LegCo. Lee said that the party will carefully plan their run in the upcoming LegCo election in December in order to obtain more seats.

Lee continued and said that the party will focus their works on three aspects.

The party will set “running in elections” and “participating in governance” as its goals. Lee said the party will continue their works in different districts, and will build a wilder and firmer connection with different industries of the city.

Lee also said DAB will construct clearer social policies that foster justice and fairness, and will complete the organizing structure of the party. DAB will train talents to participate in politics as well, according to Lee.
