Police announced crowd management measures would be implemented at the Mong Kok Flower Market Road area between Tuesday and Sunday (Jan 22) to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.
During the period, Flower Market Road, Yuen Ngai Street, Yuen Po Street, and Prince Edward Road West Service Road will be closed from 8 am to 8 pm as a large number of people are expected to visit the Flower Market area before the Chinese New Year.
Traffic along westbound Prince Edward Road West cannot turn right to northbound Sai Yee Street.
Affected vehicles may be diverted via northbound Tung Choi Street, Playing Field Road / Boundary Street, Fa Yuen Street, and Prince Edward Road West service road.
Vehicles with a valid permit can access the above roads every day from midnight to 5 pm for loading or unloading.
Police warned the actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area, calling on the public to be patient and take heed of traffic instructions.
