Some anti-epidemic measures to be loosened

Some of the coronavirus disease epidemic prevention measures are expected to be eased in Hong Kong, when they expire on Wednesday, reports suggest.

Restrictions on swimming pools, religious activities and theaters are to be loosened.

The government is expected to set the number of participants at religious venues at 30 percent, or below, capacity.

On March 17, the Hong Kong extended anti-pandemic restrictions, including the four-person limit on gatherings, wearing of face masks, and providing contact details when dining in at restaurants, for two weeks to March 31. Bars and pubs were to remain closed and live performances prohibited.
