A low-pressure trough will linger along the South China coast in the middle of the week, with heavy showers and squally thunderstorms in the area.

The Guangdong coast is expected to see a northeast monsoon over the weekend along with a drop in temperature. Rainfall will gradually lessen early next week.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with a few showers and brief periods of sunlight during the day, with temperatures of 24 to 29 degrees. Tuesday will also be cloudy with a few thunderstorms. The temperature will be 25 to 29 degrees.

The public is reminded it will be cloudy with showers and a few squally thunderstorms Wednesday through Saturday.

The coming Sunday and Monday will be cloudy with showers, with temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees.
