Scaffolding partially collapses in strong wind at Cheung Sha Wan

An industrial building in Cheung Sha Wan saw part of the scaffolding collapses on Monday afternoon as a thunderstorm warning was in effect. No one was injured during the incident.

At about 1pm, scaffolding surrounded by a protective net at Tin On Industrial Building was partially blown down by strong winds.

Firefighters and the police arrived after receiving a report. Two lanes of Cheung Sha Wan Road towards Mei Foo were temporarily sealed off.

The Observatory issued a Thunderstorm Warning in the morning, which read that a few squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong.
