Safe conducts for domestic workers can be requested by phone

The Ministry of Labor and Labor Development of Panama (Mitradel) reported on Thursday 11 June that requests for safe-conducts for domestic workers can be made by phone 800-0016, option 1, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm

Either the worker or the employer can make the request, and must provide details of both, as well as the address of the worker's residence and work.

Once the data is verified and approved, the pass will be sent through the email in downloadable digital format.

"Regarding domestic service, like all workers, the rest time agreed in the employment relationship must be respected, even when the worker remains in the residence," says Mitradel.
