An 89-year-old man was arrested yesterday, after he indecently assaulted two 12-year-old girls in Kwai Chung.
A parent reported the incident to the police, saying that the 12-year-old daughter and her classmate, aged 12 as well, were indecently assaulted by an old man in Shek Lei Estate in Kwai Chung on May 12 and 9 respectively.
Officers then initiated an investigation and targeted the man surnamed Lui. Yesterday they ambushed Lui at areas near the estate and arrested him for indecent assault.
Investigation suggested that Lui is involved in three indecent assault cases, in which victims are all 12-year-old girls. Lui is now remanded for questioning.
The force advised the public to stay alerted on the streets, and avoid passing through quiet areas.
