A 33-year-old father and a 32-year-old mother have been jointly charged with one count of murder in the death of their 14-month-old daughter.
The case will be mentioned at Fanling Magistrates’ Courts on Monday morning.
Police arrested the couple on Friday following the death of the girl in Pat Heung.
The baby, who had suffered neck injuries, had been dead for between one and three days when officers found her body at a village house that night, according to the force.
It was understood that officers rushed to the house after receiving a report from the father of the female suspect, who said he'd been unable to get in touch with her.
The male suspect was said to have records of mental illness.
