The Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced on Thursday afternoon, May 21, that the coronavirus has left a total of 291 dead in the country. There are 139 new cases of the virus in 24 hours.
According to official data, the total number of infected with the virus in the country is now 10,116, while 6,194 patients have recovered from the disease.
3,236 patients are in home isolation, of which 649 are in so-called hospital hotels.
The Ministry of Health also reported that 344 people are hospitalized; 278 in the ward and 66 in the intensive care units.
826 new tests have been conducted. The total tests are now at 53,928, of which 41,932 were negative.
