Leaders of solidarity organizations and the media in Panama highlighted the imprint of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of its creation.
On Twitter, Javier Medina, head of the National Coordinator of Solidarity with the Island, pointed out the importance of that organization to promote just causes such as the condemnation of the ignominious blockade imposed by Washington on Cuba for more than six decades.
He also greeted the Cuban government and people on the 63rd anniversary of the triumphant Revolution in 1959 and wished them a prosperous new year 2022, in which they will redouble actions, he said, to achieve the cessation of the hostile policy.
For his part, the director of the Bayano Digital newspaper, David Carrasco, sent a fraternal message of greetings to ICAP, created in 1960 by the leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, to reaffirm the reciprocal solidarity between the Caribbean nation and the peoples of the world.
This Thursday, ICAP invited to a twitter followers campaign and one of the essential themes is to continue demanding the end of the US blockade and the return of the territory illegally occupied by the US naval base in Guantanamo, on the eastern extreme of the island.

ICAP has friends in 155 countries in all regions, grouped in 1,647 friendship organizations and 70 associations of graduates from different levels of education in schools and universities on the island.
