OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, is exploring new ways to gather broad input on decisions impacting its AI technology

The company's president, Greg Brockman, discussed these efforts at an event in San Francisco, hosted by Goldman Sachs and SV Angel.

Brockman previewed plans for a model similar to Wikipedia, which requires people with diverse views to coalesce and agree on entries.

He also suggested that governments around the world should coordinate to ensure AI is developed safely.

OpenAI is looking at various ideas, including limiting the annual growth of frontier AI capabilities and requiring licenses to develop sophisticated AI models..
