Novak calls for continued fight against anti-Semitism

Katalin Novak, Hungary's minister for family affairs, highlighted the importance of the fight against anti-Semitism at a conference on the subject held in Malmo, Sweden, on Wednesday.

Speaking to MTI on the sidelines of the conference, Novak noted the many Hungarian victims of the Holocaust and said that remembrance was “extremely important” for the Hungarian government.

“Anti-Semitism is present, even here, in Sweden, and in many countries across Europe,” she said, and called for a continuous fight against its manifestations. Advocates of anti-Semitism must not be allowed to take decision making positions in Europe, she insisted.
