Norway to Help Train Ukrainian Pilots for F-16 Fighter Jet Program

Norway will help train Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 fighter jets.

The Defense Minister of Norway, Bjoern Arild Gram, made the announcement on Wednesday, stating that the government supports the initiative and is considering how Norway can contribute to the training program alongside allies and partners.

The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, has assured US President Joe Biden that the F-16 jets will not be used to enter Russian territory.

Russia has expressed opposition to the transfer of the US-made F-16s to Ukraine, claiming it would be pointless and raise questions about NATO's role in the war.
