The social housing enterprise will research in multiple directions and lead future pilot programs as it seeks to create short to medium-term solutions, as well as long-term strategies that will allow Hongkongers to reside in flats that they can truly call home.
Four members cross-discipline advisory committee, including the former director of the Lands Department Patrick Lau Lai-chiu, will examine a host of long-standing housing issues such as unaffordable housing for young families.
They will conduct in-depth research and aim to provide alternatives to the public, subsidized, and private housing types currently available. The social housing enterprise will announce its research direction and feasible proposals in the near future.
