A mud truck driver died after he fell into fish pond in Tin Shui Wai after crashing his vehicle this morning.
The police received a report saying a man fell into a fish pond after he lost control of a mud truck on Nim Wan Road at around 11am.
He was unconscious when he was rescued, and was taken to Tin Shui Wai Hospital where he was confirmed dead.
The incident happened at a site where three fish ponds are being dug.
The 43-year-old man is self-employed. He was driving a small mud truck to carry the soil away.
He was working with another self-employed worker who was responsible for driving a dredger to dig up the soil.
The Labor Department is investigating the case.
