MTR provides overnight service on Lunar New Year’s Eve, special arrangements for 38 KMB routes

MTR will provide overnight service on Lunar New Year’s Eve (Jan 21) and the services of five railway lines will be enhanced during the Lunar New Year holidays.

All MTR railway lines – except the Airport Express, Disneyland Resort Line and journeys to or from Lok Ma Chau Station on the East Rail Line – will run trains overnight on Saturday.

MTR will also step up services for the Island Line, Tsuen Wan Line and Kwun Tong Line starting at 8pm tonight.

Seven Light Rail routes, including 505, 507, 610, 614P, 615P, 706 and 751, will provide overnight service as well.

Meanwhile, MTR Bus routes 506, K51 and K54 will extend service hours to between 12.45am and 1.50am.

On the other hand, KMB will have 38 routes with special service arrangements starting from Lunar New Year's Eve, including service hour adjustments and frequency enhancement to facilitate family and friends gatherings more conveniently.

Route 63R traveling to Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree will be operated between January 22 and February 5, allowing the public to make a wish in the New Year.

KMB also invites passengers to visit Tai Po Lam Tsuen, Tsim Sha Tsui, Tuen Mun, Kwun Tong, and Sai Kung to collect postcards and stamps for Lunar New Year celebrations.
