Services between Jordan Station and Lai King Station on Tsuen Wan Line are suspended.

According to pictures of the scene posted on social media platforms, two pairs of doors of a Tsuen Wan Line carriage in Yau Ma Tei station were spotted fallen and stuck between the train and the glass partitions.

It is also learned that the doors fell suddenly when less than a quarter of the train reached the platform at around 9.33 am.

Over 700 passengers were evacuated. Over 30 Firefighters and dozens of MTR staff are on the scene for investigation and maintaining orders.

The section between Central Station and Jordan Station keeps six-minute intervals, and the line between Lai King Station and Tsuen Wan Station keeps eight-minute intervals.

A free MTR shuttle bus is provided for passengers between Lai King Station and Jordan Station, except Prince Edward Station, and other intermediate stations are for drop-off only.

MTR reminds passengers to be careful of their commuting time, advising people to cross the harbour to take the East Rail Line, Tseung Kwan O Line, or Tung Chung Line.
