Mongkok, Quarry Bay and Hung Hom lockdown announced

The government has announced another three ambush-style lockdown areas in Mong Kok, Quarry Bay, and Hung Hom.

The Hoi Yu House of Hoi Fu Court in Mong Kok -- excluding Hoi Fu Shopping Centre -- has been cordoned off since 7pm today.

Residents within the restricted area were told to remain at home overnight until they undergo mandatory coronavirus testing and get a negative result.

Residents in the area were expected to take the test by 2am tomorrow, with the aim of completing the operations by around 7am tomorrow morning.

Residents at Wai Lee Building on King's Road in Quarry Bay -- excluding the Manly Plaza -- have also been required to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing since 7.30pm today.

Residents must undergo tests before 2am tomorrow and the government aims at finishing the tests at around 7am tomorrow.

The Cheong Lok Mansion on Baker Street in Hung Hom was also cordoned off since 8pm today and residents are required to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing before 11.30pm today.

The lockdown in Hung Hom is aimed to end at 6.30am tomorrow, the authorities said.
