The Ministry of Education (Meduca) announced that during this week an Executive Decree will be made official, which restores the 2020 school calendar – suspended since March due to the coronavirus.
The decree will stipulate the structuring and prioritization as established by law. And that the school year will last two quarters (scheduled to end in December).
Through a statement, the ministry recalled that the period of school organization will begin next Monday, July 6.
And from Monday July 20 onwards the distance education process begins gradually from preschool to middle level, including the education of youth and adults.
According to Meduca, this means that the students will receive the educational service at home. The delivery will be done through multiple formats; printed guides, classes on radio and television, applications and technology platform.
Gradually, 830 educational centers will be fully established, with their managers, supervisors and teachers, a process of communication, connection and deliver the educational routines at home for thousands of students.
We also understand the barriers that occur in areas of difficult access, with limitations in their conditions and opportunities for connectivity, said the ministry statement.
