Police are now searching for an elderly man who slashed a 57-year-old man in his neck with a knife at Nga Lam House in Tsui Lam Estate, Tseung Kwan O on Thursday and fled the scene.
The attack was reported to police around 7pm today and the victim surnamed Mak was sent to hospital in a conscious state.
A Facebook page founded by neighbors living in Tsui Lam Estate soon alerted others of the dangerous man at large.
According to police, the male suspect was aged about 60 to 70. He was fat and stood at about 1.7 meters.
Police called on residents there to stay vigilant and to report to police immediately at a safe environment if they spot anyone acting strangely or weirdly.
