A 43-year-old merchant charged of rioting in connection to the July 21 Yuen Long mob attack will be remanded until his next appearance on Monday.
Tang Ka-man was charged with rioting and conspiracy to wound with intent. He had yet to enter plea.
He was arrested on Sunday and appeared in Fanling Magistrates' Courts on Tuesday morning.
Principal magistrate Don So Man-lung adjourned the case to next Monday as requested by prosecution. Tang will be remanded in custody until then.
Tang allegedly took part in a riot with the now imprisoned Tang Wai-sum, Ng Wai-nam and others at Yuen Long MTR station and on Long Wo Road in Yuen Long on July 22, 2019.
Tang Wai-sum was sentenced to seven-year imprisonment while Ng was sentenced to get four years behind bars on July 22 this year.
