A 28-year-old man was arrested after he was caught with a pair of handcuffs in his bag when walking past the metal detector at West Kowloon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday morning.
Security guards reported to police around 9am this morning after the detector rang the alert. Police soon arrived and found the 23cm-long handcuffs in the man's bag.
After a preliminary investigation, the man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, and the case is now being handled by the Sham Shui Po district crime investigation team.
