La Chorrera without water after electric incident in water treatment plant

Several sectors of La Chorrera in Panamá West will remain without drinking water after an electrical incident in the raw water intake, which is maintained by the Jaime Díaz Quintero water treatment plant.

The Institute of National Aqueducts and Sewers (Idaan) indicated that technicians from the electricity company make the necessary corrections to reestablish service.

On Saturday afternoon, the water treatment plant was also out of operation due to high turbidity in the raw water intake, leaving several sectors of La Chorrera without supply.

Users on social networks expressed their disagreement and reported that they run out of drinking water daily in the province of Panamá West.
