Knorr-Bremse inaugurates HUF 2.5 billion rolling stock service centre in Budapest

German brake maker Knorr-Bremse inaugurated a 2.5 billion forint (EUR 7.1m) rolling stock service centre in Budapest on Tuesday.

The investment created 55 jobs, state secretary Tamas Menczer said.

Knorr-Bremse Vasuti Jarmurendszerek Hungaria managing director Laszlo Veres said the centre will serve over 100 partners in Europe and Asia. In Hungary, those partners include state-owned railway company MAV, regional railway GYSEV, Dunakeszi Jarmujavito and the local unit of Switzerland’s Stadler.

Knorr-Bremse Vasuti Jarmurendszerek Hungaria had net revenue of 125.5 billion forints in 2020, public records show.
