John Lee finished his manifesto and set to publish on Friday

Hong Kong Chief Executive candidate John Lee Ka-chiu has completed the drafting of his manifesto, according to his campaign office.

The team has basically completed the drafting of the manifesto and preparing for the official announcement, said the deputy director of John Lee's office Raymond Tam Chi-yuen.

Lee's team will hold an official announcement of the manifesto on Friday 11 am at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, according to sources.

Multiple organizations and political think tanks have submitted a set of policy proposals to the city’s sole chief executive candidate.

Lee said in his visit to the grassroots families this Sunday, that if he is elected he would make the housing crisis a top policy priority.

“Solving the housing crisis is the key to solving many other issues,” he said. “There are many procedures involved in tackling land supply and construction. I will investigate ways to streamline these processes.”
