Hot spell continues as mercury hits 37.6 degrees in Happy Valley

The temperatures in Hong Kong rose to 36 degrees Celsius around Sunday noon, with the mercury climbing further up to 37.6 degrees in Happy Valley.

The Hong Kong Observatory said under the dominance of the subtropical ridge, the weather today is generally fine and very hot, while temperatures can generally reach 35 degrees or above tomorrow.

According to the Observatory, the coming nine days will remain hot, with temperatures at a high of 35 degrees on Monday, before dropping to 34 degrees on Tuesday until the next Sunday.

The minimum temperature will hover around 28 degrees in the coming nine days.
