Hong Kong leader confident huge government restructuring plan will get nod

Carrie Lam adds that she is not in a position to say which principal officials will stay on in the next administration.

Hong Kong’s outgoing leader said she was confident her de facto cabinet would on Tuesday endorse a massive government restructuring proposal based largely on one she had originally planned.

Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor added that she was not in a position to say which principal officials would stay on in the next administration, but that Chief Executive-elect John Lee Ka-chiu had already said he was inclined to endorse the plan.
