Hong Kong Brands & Products Shopping Festival opens today

The 2022 Hong Kong Brands & Products Shopping Festival opened today and will run for four days until September 12 at the AsiaWorld-Expo.

The festival will feature 350 booths with a wide range of products, including food and beverages, ginseng, dried seafood, grocery, household items, beauty and healthcare products, and electronics.

A lineup of special stage programs, lucky draws, and game booths will also be arranged for the visitors.

Dozens of shoppers arrived at around 8am this morning ahead of the 10am opening mark, with some of them planning to spend their consumption vouchers on-site.

Some also said they have not set a spending budget for the festival and will get everything they like.

Chinese Manufacturers' Association president Allen Shi Lop-tak said he hopes this year’s event will surpass the HK$60 million mark in sales recorded last year.

A single-entry ticket will cost HK$10. People will also be required to use their vaccine pass when entering the venue.
