Hong Kong athletes parade into Tokyo Olympics

Hong Kong athletes paraded into the Olympic stadium, and flying the flag of Hong Kong SAR are fencer Cheung Ka-long and badminton player Tse Ying-suet.

A total of 46 Hong Kong athletes have qualified for 38 events at the Tokyo Olympics, covering 14 sports. This is Hong Kong's best result in Olympics history.

Swimmers Siobhan Haughey, Ho Nam-wai, Jamie Yeung Zhen-mei, Ian Ho Yentou and Toto Wong Kwan-to paraded into the stadium as well, following the lead of the two flag bearers.

Fencers Ryan Choi Chun-yin and Cheung Siu-lun, as well as chef de mission Pui Kwan-kay and swimming team coach Rosanne Sze Hang-yu were also spotted among the athletes.

The delegation was the 170th team to march at the Parade of Nations, following Portugal.

On the other hand, China was the 110th team to appear in the parade, with volleyball player Zhu Ting as the first female flag bearer.
