HK's Rafa Nadal Tennis Center announce scholarship program presented by HKGTA Charity Foundation

Hong Kong Golf & Tennis Academy (HKGTA) and Rafa Nadal Tennis Center (RNTC) today announce the launch of the "Building A Champion Scholarship 2022" and eight HKGTA Charity Foundation tennis scholarships.

Designed as an open event for all interested players throughout the city, the event will specifically focus on Junior players, not necessarily HKGTA Patrons, with individual age categories spanning 12-14 years old.

On 1, 2 and 4 October at the RNTC in HKGTA's Sai Kung Academy, the tournament will cultivate and showcase the next generation of Hong Kong's tennis talent.

Also, in line with New World Development Group’s commitment to Creating Shared Value is its announcement that HKGTA Charity Foundation will offer two full scholarships and six partial scholarships to talented tennis players in Hong Kong.

The two full scholarships will be awarded to one boy and one girl who show excellent potential in their high-performance tennis development.

The scholarships will cover the full cost of elite-level training by RNTC coaches for an entire year, along with a potential visit to the renowned Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in Mallorca, Spain, offering a significant boost to the recipients' training and development, along with critical global exposure.

In addition, HKGTA Charity Foundation will offer six partial scholarships to cover advanced training at RNTC for players that show significant potential in their tennis games.

Applicants will be initially assessed on their on-day performance. They will be subjected to tests of their tennis skills and abilities and all-round fitness, as well as evaluation of their off-court behaviour and attributes.
