Health Minister: indications that the population 'is adapting'

The Minister of Health, Rosario Turner, went out today to deliver masks to Panama Metro commuters and by-passers at the '5 de Mayo' station.

Accompanied by officials, Turner said that people are complying with the recommendations to avoid the spread of the coronavirus and "that is favorable."

"We are pleased that people wore the masks", she said, while reminding that the measures should be doubled.

On the evaluation after the opening of companies that comprise the first block, she said that for the moment it is going well and that they will continue with the tours to observe the compliance with the health measures.

"Today's observations indicate that the population is adapting to this new circumstance," she said.

Turner announced that they are preparing for a new measurement of the parameters with the aim of establishing the opening date for companies that are in the second block.

Last week, the Minsa regulated the hours and operations of the retail trade, mechanical, sheet metal, electromechanical and refrigeration workshops.

The retail business, for example, can only operate, from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Home deliveries are allowed on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 8:00 am to 12 noon. They can only operate with up to 10 workers per branch.
