H Properties integrates the highest quality architecture and most delightful experience to create a new landmark in Guangzhou.

The Guangzhou Infinitus Plaza, managed by H Properties Limited (“H Properties”), a global investor in properties endorsed by LKK Health Products Group (the “Group”), has been awarded the 2022-2023 China Construction Engineering Luban Prize, widely regarded as the “Architectural Oscar” in China’s architectural engineering industry. The judges for the Luban Prize highly endorsed Guangzhou Infinitus Plaza for its cutting-edge design, profound special structure and technological innovation with sustainable solutions, noting that it was beyond their expectations during an on-site inspection.

Launched in November 2021, Guangzhou Infinitus Plaza is a diversified complex that encompasses Grand A office space and one-stop retail experience in the prime location of Baiyun New Town. The plaza covers an overall area of 185,000 sqm and has been completed with a total investment of RMB 4.5 billion. The accolade affirms the property’s high standards in construction quality, innovative technology applications, excellent energy efficiency and people-oriented smart management.

The plaza was designed by world-renowned architect Ms. Zaha Hadid and her team from Zaha Hadid Architects. Inheriting its design from the “Queen of Curves”, the two 8-storey main buildings are interconnected by two overhead bridges and a rooftop green path that altogether form a shape resembling an infinity symbol “∞” to reflect the Group’s spirit of “Constant Entrepreneurship”. The building features a 28,000 custom-designed curved gold aluminium facade, which requires high precision to splice seamlessly. A number of industrial breakthroughs were achieved while realising this innovative and futuristic design, including the hoisting of long truss bridges and the implementation of the three-dimensional curved facade.

Complementing its unique state-of-art design, the plaza incorporates a series of green building technologies to underscore its ultimate pursuit of sustainable development through every detail. The sinuous façade not only depicts the notion of fluidity, but it also achieves greater energy efficiency by using perforated aluminium shading panels to maintain optimum thermal comfort, which enables the building to “breathe through its smart skin”.

The translucent “bubble film” covering the roof of the atrium is made of the same ETFE material as the Water Cube, the iconic Beijing Olympics venue. Its high light-transmitting feature enables the building to enjoy longer natural daylight, while simultaneously protecting the interior environment from excessive heat, which brings savings in both air-conditioning and lighting energy consumption. The comprehensive greenery designs with indigenous plants allow it to achieve an energy efficiency of 52%, complemented with up to 35% in greenery coverage. The outstanding results have enabled the plaza to garner a three-star “China Green Building Design Label building” distinction, the highest award given in recognition of China’s green building standards.

H Properties also adheres to the corporate culture of “Si Li Ji Ren” (considering the collective benefit before self-interest) in providing tenants and customers with world-class management services to accommodate their needs. The advanced smart system of the plaza not only improves the property’s efficiency through a range of digital experiences such as smart lighting, parking management, visitor management, information sharing and dissemination, but it also provides efficient and convenient services to tenants and customers at work or during their leisure time.

Meanwhile, H Properties constantly practices the brand’s philosophy of “Happier Places, Happier People” through considerate property services, listening to customers’ opinions and organising diversified and creative activities. Numerous international corporations and global brands have been attracted to move into the property by the people-oriented spirit of “Super Happiness” alongside advanced digital and technology services offered by the plaza.

“H Properties is honoured that the Guangzhou Infinitus Plaza has won the Luban Prize this year,” says Andy Ma, General Manager of Asset Management, H Properties Greater China. “The award inspires us to reach new heights and continue to provide quality property management services, creating a ‘Super Happiness’ experience wholeheartedly to ensure the wellness, well-being and happiness of everyone in our properties.”

“Looking forward, we will forge a better living space beyond the city and into the entire Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,” he concludes.
