Government extends the temporary suspension of construction for 15 calendar days

The Panamanian authorities decided to extend for 15 calendar days the temporary suspension of the activity of the construction industry from this Saturday, July 11, as indicated by Executive Decree No. 867 of July 10, 2020, published this afternoon in the Official Gazette.

The document indicates that this extension will be given in the same terms expressed in article 1 of Executive Decree No. 506 of March 24, 2020.

The decree also states that within the term of this suspension the Ministry of Health (Minsa) may by resolution order the reactivation of the operation, activity and mobility of companies that develop projects that provide services to a public institution or those of a private nature.

The decision is made as a containment measure in the spread of the new coronavirus whose cases have been elevated in recent days.
