Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein's ex-girlfriend, arrested in the United States

The British Ghislaine Maxwell, accused by the American justice of collaborating with the financier Jeffrey Epstein in the sex trafficking of young girls, was arrested by the FBI this Thursday in the state of New Hampshire, the American press reported.

Maxwell must appear before a New Hampshire federal judge, according to NBC and ABC television networks .

Maxwell, Epstein's ex-girlfriend, has been on the run since the arrest of the American financier almost a year ago.

Epstein committed suicide in a New York prison last August, where he was awaiting his trial for child sex trafficking, but New York prosecutors are still investigating the case.
