Four defendants over 'body-dragging murder' denied bail

Four defendants charged over the corpse-dragging murder case in Yuen Long were refused bail at Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts on Monday. The case was adjourned to June 27 for the next hearing.

Ng Ka-sing, 25, was charged with one count of murder after he was seen dragging a wheel board carrying his girlfriend Yip Tsz-ching's body along Tin Ha Road in broad daylight on Friday.

Two men and a woman, who shared the same flat with Yip and Ng, have been arrested later on Saturday for preventing the lawful burial of a body.

The three included a couple, warehouseman Tsoi Chi-long, 31, and housewife Cheng Pui-man, 28; and courier Chan Wing-hong, 27.

The case was brought before Tuen Mun Magistrates' Court for the first time this morning, with no plea taken.

Magistrate Jeffrey Sze Cho-yiu adjourned the hearing to the morning of June 27, pending further police investigations. He also refused the defendants' application for bail, ordering them to be remanded in custody until the next hearing.
