Former top housing official lands uni teaching job

Raymond So Wai-man, former Under Secretary for Transport and Housing, will take up a teaching post at the Hong Kong Shue Yan University as an adjunct professor for its Department of Economics and Finance.

Meanwhile, Mark Fu Chuen-fu, the former political assistant to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, will be the consultant at the office of lawmaker Michael Lee Chun-keung from the Liberal Party.

Fu has started his new position since August 22.

Both new positions for So and Fu have been approved by the Advisory Committee on Post-office Employment for Former Chief Executives and Politically Appointed Officials.

The committee considered that their latest employments would not give rise to any potential conflict of interest, and anticipate adverse public perception to arise from the proposed employment.
