Five injured during No. 8 Storm Signal

Four men and a woman were injured during the No. 8 Storm Signal as of midday on Saturday, according to the Hospital Authority.

They have sought medical treatment in hospital.

The storm signal issued by the observatory at 6.40am remains in force. The observatory has issued the amber rainstorm warning signal at 1pm as well.

The Home Affairs Department has opened 19 temporary shelters in various districts so far and 53 people have sought refuge at the shelters.

As at noon, the 1823 Government Call Centre has received 67 reports of fallen trees. The Drainage Services Department has confirmed two flooding cases.

The Civil Engineering and Development Department has received one report of landslide.
