Ex-vice president of Softball Association died after passing out in a match

The ex-vice president of the Hong Kong Softball Association (HKSA) fainted and passed away during a game this morning in Ho Man Tin.

Rescuers received a report at around 9 am that 58-year-old Wong Woon-man suddenly fell into a coma when he was playing as a batter in a match with a Japanese softball team at the stadium of the association.

Others launched first aid until Wong was sent to the hospital by ambulance. He was later certified dead.

HKSA confirmed Wong’s death in a post on Facebook and expressed sincere condolences to his family and teammates.

Wong served as the former vice president of the HKSA and a Hong Kong Team member.

The cause of his death has yet to be determined.
