Czech industrial production drops in August

The Czech Republic's industrial production declined a working-day adjusted 1.4% year-on-year in August, after a 6.8% rise in July, figures released by the country's Central Statistical Office (CZSO) showed on Thursday.

Manufacturing output fell 1.0% yearly in August, while mining and quarrying output increased 10.2%. Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning declined 6.6%.

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production slumped 3.2%, the most since April of 2020, following a downwardly revised 1.9% rise in July. In another report the Prague-based agency said that

Czech construction output rose a working-day adjusted 1.2% annually in August up from a 0.5% rise in the previous month. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the construction output rose 0.1% monthly in August.
