Crash on Tuen Mun Road causes a 16-kilometer car queue

Drivers are advised to avoid Tuen Mun Road after a crash involving five cars caused a car queue spanning 12 kilometers.

The accident happened at around 5.30pm, involving four private cars and a motorcycle. Eight people were injured.

Transport Department said due to the accident, some Tuen Mun-bound lanes on Tuen Mun Road near Tsing Tin Interchange remain cordoned off.

The queue of vehicles on Tuen Mun-bound Tuen Mun Road has reached Ka Loon Tsuen.

Drivers are advised to use other roads such as Tai Lam Tunnel. Passengers can switch to rail.
