Chris Tang discharged from hospital after overnight stay

Secretary for Security Chris Tang Ping-keung was discharged from hospital on Saturday morning after a doctor had taken care of a wound on his left elbow.

Tang underwent a minor surgery at Saint Teresa's Hospital in Mong Kok due to inflammation in an injured elbow on Thursday.

After the surgery Tang went back to work and visited the doctor again on Friday night for wound cleansing and stayed overnight. He was discharged from the hospital this morning.

It was understood that Tang sustained the injury on his left elbow and the doctor performed the surgery to release the pus that accumulated due to the inflammation.

This incident made Tang the third senior government official who sustained arm injury this year, following Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor and Secretary for Food and Health Sophia Chan Siu-chee.
