The World Cup, the biggest soccer event held every four years, is just around the corner, and fans all over the world are buzzing in anticipation! Chinachem Group’s Nina Mall in Tsuen Wan and Lucky Plaza in Sha Tin, together with Central Market, are partnering with Now TV to live broadcast all 64 football matches for free!
Through this international sports event, the Group is collaborating with different parties and organizations to host a series of all-day activities, encouraging people in the community to take part.
The NINA SOCCER FEVER will be held from November 9 to December 18 in Nina Mall. By then, the 1/F Atrium will be transformed into a football stadium with a 230-inch TV set up to broadcast all the matches live.
Audiences can immerse themselves in the football craze and support their favorite team in comfort with stadium seating and cushions! You can also visit the NINA Snack Street and the 3D Illusion Wall for unstoppable fun during half-time. Nina Mall will also invite local singers and renowned footballers, including Chan Wai Ho, Lam Ka Wai, Lo Kwan Yee, and the legendary Leslie Santos, to interact with fans during 3 different matches.
Meanwhile, the Group, with Sing Tao News Group, Sing Tao Sports, The Standard, and East Week as strategic partners, will join hands with more than 10 renowned international brands to create an all-day soccer experience for the public in Central Market - one of the most precious landmarks with a longstanding history.
Leveraging its unique geographic location, Central Market will host the “World Cup for All'' event from November 18 to December 18 for 31 consecutive days.
Partnering with Budweiser, one of the world’s most valued beer brands, the G/F OASIS of Central Market will become an open lawn with a jumbo-sized high-res LED TV broadcasting the matches for free, where football fans of all ages can cheer for their favorite teams during the exciting matches!
Additionally, Central Market is also collaborating with the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Hong Kong and Macau, bringing eight exquisite models of World Cup stadiums together with a 1:50 scaled Boeing 777 aircraft model for football fans to enjoy and take photos with!
Various partners of the World Cup are also delivering this tradition to get everyone into the football frenzy. As the official supplier of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Adidas will be stationed at Central Market to display a 2-meter-tall football Al Rihla ball next to the terrazzo staircase at 2/F.
Qatar Airways, named “Airline of the Year” overall for a record seventh time, will be setting up a 1:50 scaled Boeing 777 aircraft model at 1/F entrance to Queen's Road Central, where visitors can get a closer look at the long-range, wide-body, twin-engine aircraft.
While the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Hong Kong and Macau will set up eight exquisite models of World Cup stadiums displayed at Central Market, and football fans can immerse themselves in Qatari culture.
Last but not least, Hyundai, a Korean car brand, will be exhibiting its all-new STARIA Van at the G/F entrance. Visitors can participate in a quiz game to win limited edition prizes while appreciating Hyundai’s futuristic automobile design.
Sharing football culture with the next generation through innovation
Central Market has also partnered with Hong Kong Football Association, AiR METAVERSE, and Yesports to host a series of activities integrated with sports and technology, including virtual discovery games, sports activities, and e-sports, to attract the interest of college students and teenagers.
In addition, the Group is collaborating with NGOs to invite families and teenagers to watch live-streamed football matches and to host historical and educational tours in the Cultural Triangle Precinct of Central.
