Chilly December strikes with sharp temperature drop

Cool weather is ready to come in the latter part of this week, said the weather watchdog, with the lowest temperature to mark 13 degrees Celsius.

According to the forecast issued by Hong Kong Observatory, a cold front is expected to move across the coast of Guangdong between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

The city will be chilled as winds from the north strengthen and temperatures fall appreciably in the latter half of the week.

Monday and Tuesday will see sunny intervals and mist in the morning and at night, with the temperatures ranging from 23 degrees to 28 degrees.

A sharp temperature drop will come on Wednesday, bringing the next couple of days - Thursday to Saturday clouds and a few rain patches. The temperatures are about to be 13 degrees to 20 degrees.

A slight rebound of mercury will start from next week, as next Sunday to Tuesday will be sunny and dry, with the temperature hovering between 17 degrees to 22 degrees.
